ROCKWOOL Comfortboard® 80 thermal insulated sheathing is a rigid stone wool insulation board designed for exterior continuous insulation using screw through insulation cladding support systems in residential and commercial construction.
Comfortboard 80 does not produce smoke or propagate flames, providing a critical line of defense in the event of a fire. Comfortboard 80 has been certified by the California State Fire Marshall's Building Materials Listing Program (BML).
Comfortboard 80 also offers improved energy efficiency with minimal penetrations to reduce thermal bridging, enhanced acoustical comfort, along with vapor permeance and moisture resistance for a durable enclosure. In addition to exterior continuous insulation, these products may be used below-grade (basements/crawlspace), under concrete slab, in residential floor-ceiling, sloped roofing and wood-framed cathedral ceilings, and as an exterior perimeter insulation around the foundation.
